Rockin' Water Returns from Kentucky
November 18, 2009
ROCKIN' WATER headed back down to the Appalachian region of Martin County, Kentucky, for the fourth time this year, to bring a ROCKIN' WATER donation to the schools, community centers, and food pantries of the area.
Martin County is one of the poorest counties in the nation and ROCKIN' WATER is committed to making a difference in kids' lives through better nutrition and a healthier living environment and is helping in Martin County. For every bottle sold of ROCKIN' WATER, ROCKIN' WATER will donate two cents to R.A.M.P. - The Rockin' Appalachian Mom Project -
http://www.rampamerica.org - founded by ROCKIN' WATER'S ceo and founder Amy Guerrieri. For this trip, Amy took six (6) other Moms with her and two (2) completely filled semi tractor trailer trucks FULL of donated items to help the families of Martin County. Included in the shipment are a truck full of medical supplies donated by Amy's childhood friend Jim Ressler, of Medical Angels (
http://www.medicalangels.blogspot.com), and another truck full of ROCKIN' WATER, furniture, school supplies, and winter clothing. In addition, Amy also held a donation drive, and in just two weeks, raised enough money to purchase 100 heaters for families that live in a remote hollow (mountainous area) in Martin County, Kentucky. The heaters will help keep the families warm this winter, as many live in homes without heat and insulation. THANK YOU to ALL that donated! And a special Thank You to the Rockin' Mamas came to Kentucky to see first hand how R.A.M.P. is making a difference in kids' lives - Alison Barlow, Melissa Price, Ellen Sweeney, Michele Wolfram, Jenifer Howard, and Heather Wise - You are AWESOME!
With much love and appreciation,
Amy Guerrieri
